About Me
Shahadat Hussain, PhD
A Researcher in Metamaterials, 3D Printing & Shape Memory Materials – Advancing Engineering Through Innovation.

Research Mission
I engineer metamaterials and shape memory alloys via additive manufacturing and TPMS design — because without materials, there is no engineering — to solve challenges in aerospace, biomedicine, and sustainable structures.
I strive to bring design and functionality together, crafting materials that resonate with engineering applications.

Characterizations
Characterizations are built for accuracy and reliability. I deliver advanced microstructural, mechanical, and thermal testing to meet specific materials challenges.
Microstructure
Examining microstructural features such as second phase, crack or impurities and dislocations
X-ray Diffractrometry
Phase and residual stress analysis
Thermal Analysis
Phase transformation temperature and enthalpy measurements
Mechanical Testing
Tensile, compression and bending testing

3D Printing
I develop and optimize LPBF/FFF processes for architected lattices and smart alloys.
